ADVANCED PROSTATE CANCER
Typically, prostate cancer is slow-growing and unlikely to cause a man any harm during his lifetime. However, among some men, the cancer cells are more aggressive and likely to spread to other areas. This is advanced prostate cancer.
The rates of advanced prostate cancer are on the rise for the first time in 20 years, which is why we are raising awareness this Prostate Cancer Awareness Month about the importance of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests and knowing what your PSA level is.
Learn more about what elevated PSA is, what causes it, and how it is diagnosed and treated.
For the 10-15% of men who will develop advanced prostate cancer, learn more about the latest methods we have in battling the advanced stages of this disease.
Early detection is critical for treating prostate cancer, so if it has been more than a year since you’ve had your PSA level checked, schedule an appointment today.
