Alex Tapper, M.D. is a partner of Michigan Institute of Urology. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University. He then completed a surgical internship as well as urologic surgery residency at Beaumont Health in Royal Oak.
His interests in research have focused on robotic and laparoscopic surgery, adult urethral stricture disease, prosthetic urology, as well as telemedicine.
When not working or spending time with his wife, two daughters, and dog, Dr. Tapper enjoys playing hockey, golfing, watching Detroit and University of Michigan sports, and listening to country music.
Dr. Tapper has authored peer reviewed publications and made numerous presentations at both regional and national meetings.
