Dr. Sandberg is a partner in the Michigan Institute of Urology. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering with a specialization in Materials Science from Northwestern University in 2009. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine in 2013. He completed his residency in urologic surgery at Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston Salem, NC in 2019, then completed a fellowship in genitourinary reconstructive urology at the University of Iowa in 2020.
Dr. Sandberg enjoys spending time outdoors with family, on the golf course, and woodworking in his spare time.
Dr. Sandberg has authored multiple book chapters in urology and regenerative medicine. He has presented at regional, national, and international conferences. He is the author of multiple peer-reviewed scientific articles in the field of urology and is pursuing an ongoing research interest in patients with urethral stricture disease and in those requiring complex genital reconstruction following trauma and infection.
He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urologic Association, as well as the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons.
