Education & Training

Marissa received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan in 2009. In 2014, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Massachusetts’s College of Pharmacy and Health Science. While the Boston area was a great adventure and experience, she missed her roots in Michigan and returned to work as a medical surgical nurse for post-op urology patients at Troy and Royal Oak Beaumont Hospitals.

In 2021 Marissa graduated from South University with a Master of Nursing Science degree. Prior to joining the team at MIU, she worked in internal medicine.

In her free time, Marissa enjoys spending time with her family, running with her dog, being outdoors enjoying nature, baking, and cookie-decorating.
